Created in 2002, the Great Tree Canopy Comeback is our community tree planting day organized by volunteers with Friends of the Parks and area parks departments to combat this critical loss of trees. Over the past 13 years, we have planted more than 2700 trees in our parks – it’s the Great Tree Canopy Comeback!

The County Parks Department is in need of volunteers at Fox Island County Park, 7324 Yohne Road. Volunteers should bring drinking water, gloves and a shovel.  You should also “dress for the weather,” since planting will take place rain, snow or shine.

Check our website closer to event for more information on where to officially register and other area locations.
