RACHEL ROSSITER SMITH
Rachel is a part time Naturalist with the Department and is primarily based at Metea County Park.
Rachel will have been with the Allen County Parks and Recreation Department one year in March 2008.
In addition to her work at County Parks she leads hikes and other activities with the Little River Wetlands Project and teaches classes for the Women in the Outdoor Series put on by the Wild Turkey Federation. Rachel is also assistant director of the the Izaak Walton League’s Conservation Day Camp.
Her hobbies include gardening, biking, hiking, camping and canoeing. She also enjoys all kinds of music, volunteer work, and just about anything having to do with the outdoors.
Rachel is married and has two children, Lily who is 11 years old and Reed who is 8 years old.
