Allen County Parks is pleased to again be part of the Great Tree Canopy Comeback 2018.  On Saturday, October 20, 2018 help Friends of the Parks of Allen County Celebrate the GREAT TREE CANOPY COMEBACK’S NEW EVOLUTION: after planting over 2,500 trees across multiple parks since its inception, the GTCC has accomplished its original goal! This event will be evolving to include invasive species removal so that we can sustainably continue forest regeneration in all parks around Allen County.

Allen County Parks will participate this year in the Invasive Removal portion of the event at Fox Island County Park.  We will need volunteers for “Cutters” (loppers, small cutters) will be removing invasives and “Couriers” will be transporting the invasives to a designated disposal area.

Meet us at the Lake parking lot. Enter through the gates on Yohne Road and take a left at the four way stop as you enter the park. Follow the lake road and it will end at the lake parking lot.

BRING YOUR GLOVES AND LOPPERS AND HELP US REMOVE HONEYSUCKLE
