Junior Indiana Master Naturalist Program
coming SPRING 2010 to Allen County Parks
Just like the popular Indiana Master Naturalist Program, now your 9 – 13 year old child can become a Junior Indiana Master Naturalist at Allen County Parks. The Allen County Parks, the Stockbridge Audubon Society, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, are teaming up to sponsor northeast Indiana’s first Junior IMN class this coming Spring!
There will be eight sessions and a recognition day. Classes will be two hours long and will be held at both Fox Island and Metea County Park Nature Centers.
An Open House Registration Day will be held at Metea County Park Nature Center on March 6th from 11:00 am to Noon so you can meet the staff and we can answer any questions you may have pertaining to the program. Each child will need to complete an additional six hours of volunteer work in order to graduate! We’ll make it simple and easy!!
The fee is only $70.00 and includes three books, class materials, and handouts. Saturday sessions will require child to bring sack lunch from home.
A maximum of 20 children may register!
You must pre-register by March 26th.
