SUMMER DAY CAMPS 2019

All Allen County Park (ACP) camps are open 9:30 am-4:30 pm daily, ages 6-12.  Each week of camp costs $120 per camper.  All ACP camps teach canoeing, and offer swimming daily as well as multiple opportunities for hiking and playing outdoors.  Each camper is required to bring their own lunch, and water bottle (refillable – not generic plastic that gets crushed pleased).  We provide additional refreshments (Gatorade or water) and snacks.  A backpack with swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, extra clothes, water shoes and hiking shoes will also provide added comfort for your camper.  We require ten campers to run our camps.  However, we will have no problem meeting those minimum requirements.  We do accept only 20 campers per week, allowing for a safely monitored camp outdoors, so register before your favorite camp week fills up!

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A 20 CAMPER MAXIMUM PER SESSION THIS YEAR SO PLEASE REGISTER EARLY TO MAKE SURE YOUR CAMPER IS PART OF THE GROUP!!!!
Fox Island County Park Camps       NOTICE ALL CAMPS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO METEA COUNTY PARK!!
Metea County Park Camps

June 17 – 21, 2018 Outdoor Adventure Camp:

We would love to teach your camper how to have a proper outdoor adventure.  Camp experiences include back-packing, hiking, trail-marking, birding and helping the local animals that live within Fox Island  Metea County Park.  Visits with local wild animal experts are included in this camp as well.

June 24 – 28, 2018 Survival Camp:

As many are out of touch with nature we feel the need to show your camper how to immerse themselves in the outdoors while having fun.  We will build shelters and collect solar-powered water.  They will learn fire safety and fire starting skills.  This is an amazing camp that will help your camper feel confident while having fun outdoors.

July 8 – 12, 2018  Canoe  Camp 1 :

Canoe camps have become ever-increasingly popular amongst our northeast Allen County campers.  Your camper will survive the July summer heat while floating in the clean cool water of Cedar Creek.  Camp experiences include creek hikes, canoeing in Cedarville Reservoir, and tube floats down Cedar Creek. Campers will learn how the water quality of Cedar Creek has drastically improved through human initiatives.  Your camper will become a citizen scientist by helping us catch water invertebrates indicative of the high quality of water that is found in Metea County Park.

July 15- 19, 2018Canoe Camp 2:

Due to the popularity of our Canoe Camps we are offering a second amazing week of floating in the protected and cooling waters of Cedar Creek.  Your camper will capture creek life and learn how to live safely and responsibly along our many river systems.  Creek hikes, tube floats and canoeing in Cedarville Reservoir allow for a fully immersive experience.  During this camp we will also offer some pioneer classes in candle-making, fur-trading, and more.
