The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo Reptiles will be visiting the Fox Island Nature Center. Cost is $3 per person. Call 449-3246 to pre register.
Snakes at the Lake
July 17, Thursday, 1:00 PM – Bowman Lake - Fox Island County Park
Join a naturalist at Bowman Lake Shelter to learn more about Fox Island Reptiles! Program Fee is $2.00 (pay naturalist at the lake and don’t pay for park entry). Stay after the program and swim at you leisure. Go to link

Preschool Discovery Hour – Frogs and Toads
July 22, Tuesday, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Meet at the Fox Island County Park Nature Center.

Birds and Blooms of the Lake and Field
July 26, Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Fox Island Nature Center
Lots of great birds and wildflowers call the open areas in our old fields and around Bowman Lake home. Discover them with out naturalist on this 1 1/2 mile stroll. Binoculars and spotting scope provided. Cost $2.00 per person.
Girls in Boots! Bathing Beauties
July 26, Saturday, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Metea County Park Nature Center
Girls in Boots is a monthly program designed to help women become more self sufficient in the outdoors. The program is recommended for women and young ladies from 12 years old and up. Bring your bathing suits or something you don’t mind getting completely wet, shoes included, for this latest adventure. Pre-registration is REQUIRED for this $5.00 program. To register call 449.3777.
